Come meet Charlotte, the Aquarium sting ray. She enjoys meeting new faces, especially childen.  The Aquarium has 24 exhibits where visitors can view and learn about turtles, tortoises, lizards, seahores, ells, and geckos. You can also observe dozens of species of tropical coral reef fish and invertebrates. The Ocean Center and Aquarium Team ECCO was developed to introduce children to the ocean. They have a public aquarium which provides interactive programs and displays with information about the ocean.

They have some of the best and steepest snow tubing in Western North Carolina. With over 500 feet of fun & excitement for all ages and at Moonshine Mountain they allow trains in their snow tubing park.

Pisgah Astronomical Research Institute (PARI) is a unique place to visit if you are interested in science and the stars.  PARI was initially developed by NASA to track satellites and monitor manned space flights. PARI is located in Pisgah National Forest near Brevard..  The site is a 200 acre campus the contains 30 buildings

PARI is open to visitors from 8:30am - 5:-00pm Monday through Friday. PARI has guided tours of the facility on most Wednesday afternoons at 2 PM. Reservations are necessary and can be made by calling 828-862-5554. The tours last about 1.5 hours and the admission fee is $5.00 per person and there is no admission fee for children under 10. Driving time to the site from Pisgah Astronomical Research Institute. downtown Brevard is about 25 minutes. The visit features a guided tour of our PARI's Galaxy Walk. After the tour you can walk around the grounds and enjoy the scenery.

On the second Friday each month there is an Evening at PARI. The during the evening tour you will hear  a talk about recent events in astronomy, and if the weather is clear, PARI will  provide optical telescopes to view the planets, Moon, and other celestial objects.
